About the Journal

The Journal of Cyber-Physical-Social Intelligence (JCPSI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Association of Global Intelligent Science and Technology (AGIST). JCPSI provides an interdisciplinary venue for research on cyber-physical-social systems, artificial intelligence, automation, human-machine collaboration, intelligent infrastructure, and governance for complex intelligent systems.

Open Access Policy

JCPSI is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online without subscription barriers. Authors retain copyright to their work and grant JCPSI the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, readers may share and adapt published work provided that proper credit is given to the authors and the original publication is cited.

Focus and Scope

JCPSI welcomes high-quality research articles, survey papers, tutorial papers, letters, technical notes, and case studies that contribute to the theory, methodology, system design, governance, or application of cyber-physical-social intelligence.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Cyber-physical-social systems, CPSS architectures, modeling, simulation, and system integration.
  • Artificial intelligence for CPSS, including machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, large language models, and intelligent agents.
  • Automation, autonomy, digital twins, parallel systems, autonomous organizations, and human-in-the-loop or human-on-the-loop mechanisms.
  • Human-machine collaboration, trust, explainability, cognitive computing, social intelligence, and interaction between people and intelligent systems.
  • Security, privacy, ethics, governance, regulation, and responsible AI in cyber-physical-social environments.
  • Applications in smart cities, transportation, healthcare, education, energy, robotics, industry, environmental sustainability, and digital society.

Peer Review

JCPSI uses a double-blind peer review process. Submissions are first assessed by the Editorial Board for fit with the journal scope, presentation quality, originality, methodological soundness, and scholarly contribution. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be declined without external review.

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial screening, including format requirements and technical suitability checks, is normally completed within 3-6 days. The first round of peer review is normally completed within 2-3 weeks. Review timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and revision rounds.

Publication Ethics

JCPSI is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Authors must submit original work, properly cite prior literature, disclose conflicts of interest, identify all contributors accurately, and obtain permissions for third-party material. Research involving human participants, animals, personal data, or sensitive information must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements.

The journal may investigate suspected plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication or falsification, authorship disputes, undisclosed conflicts of interest, peer review manipulation, or other publication ethics concerns. When appropriate, JCPSI may issue corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or other notices to preserve the accuracy of the scholarly record.

Publication Frequency and Archiving

JCPSI publishes one issue per year and may publish accepted articles online ahead of issue assignment. The journal seeks to maintain reliable long-term access to published content through the journal platform and supported indexing, archiving, and metadata services.

Sponsorship Disclosure

JCPSI is supported by the Association of Global Intelligent Science and Technology (AGIST). Sponsorship and financial support do not influence editorial decisions, peer review, or publication outcomes. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal scope, originality, methodological quality, and ethical compliance.
